About Me
Hey! I am Kishore Kumar Ramineni
Hey! I’m Kishore Kumar Ramineni. I work with infrastructure and automation, and I write here about the things I build, break, and figure out along the way.
Why I write?
Two reasons, honestly.
The first is selfish. Building a public archive for my future self. Documenting the messy migrations, the failed fixes, and the eventual solutions in a space I completely own.
The second is that the internet has no shortage of confident answers and a serious shortage of consequences. When someone documents the failure mode as carefully as the happy path, the next person gets to skip the expensive part. I try to write both.
What you’ll find here
Mostly hands-on infrastructure work: automation, cloud platforms, VMware, containers, and the occasional disaster-recovery rabbit hole. It’s the stuff I actually touch, so it’s practical rather than theoretical. Steps tend to be specific, mistakes get called out when I remember them, and screenshots come from real consoles.
Everything here is tested on the lab I keep at home — a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme that started life running nested ESXi inside VMware Workstation, later joined by a refurbished HPE ProLiant DL 360 G9. The Home Lab page has the hardware, and the reasoning behind it.
A word of caution
This is a personal blog. Everything published here reflects my own opinions and my own experience, not your company’s official guidance. Lab hardware also fails in ways production systems usually don’t — verify anything here in your own environment before it reaches anything you care about.
If something here saved you an afternoon, or you spot an error, I’d like to hear about it.
